The History of Jerry Lorenzo
Jerry Lorenzo, the creative force behind Fear of God, is renowned for his minimalist streetwear that blends modern sophistication with an edgy flair. His recent $15 million Los Angeles home, now on the market, mirrors his design ethos with its sleek, contemporary elegance. Lorenzo's aesthetic, rooted in the hip-hop and grunge scenes of the ‘80s and ‘90s, emphasizes a blend of effortless living and high design. His home, the Nottingham House, mirrors this approach with its stylish, masculine, and inviting atmosphere.

Born in Sacramento, California, Jerry Lorenzo's journey to fashion prominence began with a diverse background in sports, marketing, and party promotion. After earning his degree from Florida A&M University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount, Lorenzo worked at Diesel and later in marketing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. His career took a turn towards fashion after becoming a party promoter, where he networked with influential figures in music and fashion.
Inspired by the lack of premium apparel in the market, Lorenzo founded Fear of God in 2013 with a $14,000 investment. His debut design, a short-sleeve hoodie with side zippers, marked the start of a successful venture. His connections led to collaborations with Virgil Abloh and Kanye West, further cementing his place in the fashion industry.
